As the fourth industrial revolution - Industry 4.0 - is already upon us, Professional networking platform LinkedIn has anticipated Blockchain Developer, Artificial Intelligence Specialist, and JavaScript Developer to be the top roles in 2020.
According to a report titled "Emerging Jobs 2020", India ranks among the top three countries to lead the world in Artificial Intelligence (AI) skills with robotic process automation, compliance, and integration as the fastest-growing skills.
The report highlights 19 key industries that are hiring for these emerging jobs, of which information technology & services, computer software, and internet made it to the top 3 industries.
“While tech jobs rule the list, it is also interesting to see soft skills such as account management and customer retention become critical, which underscores the importance of human intervention at every level of digitization," said Ruchee Anand, head of talent solutions and learning solutions - India, LinkedIn.
Bengaluru is the top talent hub for the creation of these jobs in addition to being the third largest startup hub in the world, the NASSCOM-Zinnov report stated.
Non-tech job roles like customer success specialist, digital marketing specialist and lead generation specialist have also seen significant rise on this year’s list.
The Top 15 Emerging Jobs in India in 2020: Blockchain Developer, Artificial Intelligence Specialist, JavaScript Developer, Robotic Process Automation Consultant, Back-end Developer, Growth Manager, Site Reliability Engineer, Customer Success Specialist, Full Stack Engineer, Robotics Engineer (Software), Cybersecurity Specialist, Python Developer, Digital Marketing Specialist, Front-end Engineer and Lead Generation Specialist.
